The importance of strong management

In a hospital, a clinic, or long term facility, strong effective management is imperative in order to get the job done and enable things to run smoothly. Management needs to physically be a part of the employee team, to have their desk in the area they are managing. Management needs to periodically, physically, walk around the department, the floor, the area, the unit they are supposed to cover, in order to have an understanding of what is happening on their unit, and see who's doing what, and who's not doing anything.

Management has become detached from the workers. They are putting management in a box away from staff so they can't see whats happening on their unit or the the working styles and issues of staff. Lets bring management back with staff. Instead of keeping management in endless meetings, lets put them back on the unit.
